Maptek™ is the world leader in development and supply of software and hardware technologies for the mining industry. We create large scale modelling and 3D visualisation software products including Maptek Vulcan™, Maptek MineSuite™ and Maptek I-Site™. In addition we provide tailored professional services such as consulting and support to our customers from a network of offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and overseas.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer (Architect) to join our award winning team in Adelaide. You will be contributing to the development success of the Maptek Core Technology Team in the area of large scale spatial data management. We are enhancing our software products to meet the evergrowing needs
of our customers to handle a deluge of spatial data, and you will be designing the solutions to store and access this data, which will underpin future success of our products. Furthermore, you will be responsible for making these designs dance as you communicate them to the team and lead their implementation.

You will be working in a dynamic team environment where the focus is on the creation of high quality software to solve the challenges presented by our customers. You will require a drive for excellence, great analytical thinking and spatial reasoning skills and
an enjoyment of problem solving.

A Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or Science is essential and you must possess a strong understanding of C++ and object oriented development techniques. Some experience with spatial database technology would be desirable.
