If you are interested in this exciting role you will ideally come armed with the following skills:
• Experience administering Linux systems and services
• Experience designing, implementing and administering complex networks with an emphasis on high traffic websites
• Technical knowledge of and experience with multiple Linux/BSD distributions with emphasis on RedHat Enterprise Linux 3/4/5 and CentOS.
• Experience and advanced understanding of fundamental systems technology protocols such as DNS, SFTP/FTP, SMTP, LDAP, SNMP, SSL, SSH, NFS, TCP, UDP, IP, RAID, PXE, TFTP, DHCP, MySQL DBA
• Experience and advanced understanding of fundamental networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Ethernet, Switching, Layer2/Layer3 implementations
• Experience and advanced understanding of commonly used applications and languages such as CFEngine, RedHat kickstart, Cacti/RRDTool, Nagios/Zenoss, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, BIND
• Systems deployment via kickstart or other PXE type automations
• Perl and shell automation knowledge
• Strong knowledge of data centre deployment concepts and procedures
• Managing Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory
• Microsoft Exchange 2007
